Ingredients You’ll Need
For the seasoning mix:
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 3/4 tablespoon of smoked paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper
- 1/4 – 1/2 tablespoon of chili flakes
- 1/4 tablespoon of dried thyme
For the pasta:
- 1 medium finely diced white onion
- 3 cloves of finely diced garlic
- 1 lb of minced or ground beef
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 2 1/2 cups of warm beef stock
- 2 cups of tomato passata
- 3/4 cup of room-temperature heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 10.5 oz of uncooked conchiglie pasta
- finely diced fresh parsley
- olive oil as needed
How to Make It
1. First, put some oil into a pot over medium heat. In it, fry the onion and let it soften until it gets golden. Add some garlic and fry everything for about a minute.
2. You’re now ready to add the beef to the pot. Make sure to break the beef up using a wooden spoon and let it sit until it gets browned.
3. Now you have to stir the seasoning and tomato paste into your one-pot creamy beef pasta. Fry it for another minute and add the stock, passata, cream, and Worcestershire sauce while still stirring.
4. Finally, stir in the uncooked pasta and bring it to a boil. Cook everything until the sauce thickens and the pasta is ready. Don’t forget to stir frequently.
5. If the sauce gets thick before the pasta is done, add some more hot water and continue until it is cooked well.
6. When everything is ready, check the seasoning and adjust to your taste with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. You can serve it with some fresh parsley.
