Try This Healthy, Tasty Homemade Three-Ingredient Coffee Creamer

If you’re someone who can’t drink coffee without a bit of a creamer,  grabbing creamers from the supermarket may be very convenient, but this super quick recipe to make your own creamer only requires three ingredients. It’s a healthier and tastier alternative and can be made with your favorite flavors.

The Benefits of Homemade Coffee Creamer

The best thing about making your own creamer is that you’ll know exactly what you’re putting in your coffee. You’re in control of the ingredients, and you can go for non-dairy or low-fat milk and natural sweeteners such as honey or maple syrup. It will make the product healthier, and you’ll save money in the long run, too.

The recipe is super simple and requires ingredients you can find in your local supermarket, or you may already have them at home.

How to Make It

Ingredients:

  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1¾ cup milk of your choice
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (or other flavorings)

Directions:

  1. Combine the sweetened condensed milk and the milk of your choice into a big air-tight container or two mason jars for storage.
  2. Then, add the vanilla extract (or other sweetener) and stir.
  3. Close tightly and shake well until everything is combined.
  4. You can immediately add it to your coffee or store it in the refrigerator.

How to Customize It

You can choose your favorite flavor and make your coffee taste even sweeter and better. If you’re a nutty-flavor fan, add two teaspoons of hazelnut extract to the mixture. For a hint of caramel, add two teaspoons of caramel extract.

For something sweet, try two tablespoons of chocolate syrup to get a mocha-like drink or one tablespoon of strawberry milk powder and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon for strawberry cheesecake in a cup. If you’re more of a cinnamon roll person, add one teaspoon of cinnamon, one tablespoon of vanilla extract, and one teaspoon of almond extract.
