In a TikTok video, Doctor Sood talked about a simple hack to fight migraines. You will only need hot water to see results in just a few minutes. In the clip, you can also see a video of Andrea Eder, a business coach from Miami, Florida. She explained that if you struggle with headaches, all you need to do is get water that is ‘as hot as you can handle’ and soak your feet in it.
We know it may sound too easy, but Dr Sood explained how this actually works. He shared that soaking your feet in hot water will dilate the blood vessels in your feet, pulling blood away from your head. It will ease the pressure on the blood vessels causing your migraine and will, therefore, decrease the pain.
Does it Actually Work?
After the video was posted, it turned out that quite a few people had tried the trick. One person shared that while their feet soak in the hot water, they put a frozen bag of peas on their neck, and their migraine will usually go away in about 10-15 minutes. Another one said that they had been doing this for years while sitting on the edge of their bathtub and running the hot water.
